Better Than Cold Gel

This is my second unit and I have been using this unit for years. I understand why the manufacturer does not make the unit depense too hot as we live in a law-suit craze society. However, if you turn the unit on and wait for the blinking light to stop, which is a relatively short time, then the lather will not be at its optium warmth. I turn the unit on prior to getting into the shower and the lather is more than warm enough to meet my needs by the time I get ready to shave. In any case, it beats using cold lather.

NOT AS HOT AS I WOULD LIKE IT,BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR $ 10.00

I live in an apartment that has luke warm water and had to boil some water to make my shaving jel useable. the Conair does heat the jel so that I don't have to put in boiling water to shave, so for me it's fine.but I do wish it came out hotter,BUT IT IS STILL WORTH THE MONEY.$ 10.00 does not buy much of anything these days.

UNIVERSAL : NO OTHER MACHINE EXISTS , YET

There is no other machine out there that fits my shaving creme. I was happy to get this.

Maybe one day we can have the best of all worlds : our favorite shave creme and a hot lather?

This one felt cool and different until a month later when I realized it was a nuisance and ineffective.

If you buy one, you can always resell it on this site if you reach the same conclusion.

Better than previous reviews indicate

I've been using my Hot Gel Machine for several weeks now, and find that it does a most acceptable job of heating the Gilette gel to a temperature that's plenty warm enough for me.

As a long-time user of the Conair Hot Lather machine, I wonder if my expectations were more in line with what Conair intended - while I appreciate the comments about the gel dispensed not being all that warm, I can also understand that, particularly with gel, it would be easy to have it be TOO hot, and cause burns.

At the very minimum, I'm very pleased with not having to put room-temperature gel on my face, and wait for it to morph into foam. Especially since my bathroom is not all that warm! *G*

If you're tired of cold gel, give this product a try - I'm enjoying it!

A luke warm reception to this gift

Received this item for Christmas and was looking forward to an
exciting experience on the 26th. It was not to be.

I measured the temperature of the gel with a digital thermometer
as it exited the "Hot Gel Machine";

94.5 degrees F on average, and that's on the highest setting.
Luke warm would be a generous description. I didn't bother
measuring any lower settings.

I thought it would be warmer than skin temperature!
